Dr Ho Le Bao An joins an advanced Invisalign clinical programme in Japan

From 27 to 30 May 2024, Dr Ho Le Bao An took part in the Align Asia Pacific Experience Exchange in Yokohama and Tokyo, working directly with the digital design team on ClinCheck in real time.
From 27 to 30 May 2024, Dr Ho Le Bao An travelled to Japan for an advanced Invisalign programme. It brought together experienced clinicians from across Asia — Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, China and Vietnam.
Case analysis at the Align Treat Study Club
It opened with the Align Treat Study Club sessions in Yokohama — a forum for clinicians to compare practical experience, work through clinical data and discuss how to control biomechanics in complex malocclusion cases.
Working on ClinCheck in real time
The core of the trip was working on site at large orthodontic centres in Tokyo run by Dr Higashino and Dr Kaku, both established Invisalign speakers in Japan.
There, Dr An and the group sat in on working sessions with the CAD design engineers. Setting up and adjusting tooth movement on ClinCheck in real time yielded concrete lessons about controlling micro-forces and about refining the 3D plan before the aligners are manufactured.
Standardising the process back in Vietnam
Training in a country with a developed medical system reinforces the deep-specialisation direction Dr Tony Dental has set. Going out to study how international Invisalign centres actually run is what lets the practice keep standardising the quality of its own treatment, so each patient in Vietnam gets a plan that is both safe and genuinely individual.
